Don’s interest in photography started in high school, but was put aside for other pursuits (marriage, kids, and a career in technology), but he still had this passion for photography that resurfaced as a hobby and therapeutic" outlet. He seemed driven to snap everything from sunsets to sunrises to 100-year-old stumps at break of dawn in below zero degrees. It seemed like such a natural blend of his love of technology and his passion for photography.

He enjoys computer technology, software and quickly understood the how manage the workflow. There was little difference from the developing the film to burning and dogging B&W images in high school but without the chemical mess. My first project was "A Small Project" that started out on a coffee table in 2005. Using "N and HO" scale model train figures and some old PC circuit boards and macro extension tubes. He did not intend to create a project but the number of images in his portfolio were substantial enough to give him his first gallery show at ArtsWest in Seattle.

Today Don resides in Bremerton near Dyes Inlet. Access to the Pacific North West Olympic National Park will provide new opportunities and adventures. Although he considers himself a landscape photographer he also has a love for fine art portraitures.

Don has been teaching technology for over 20 years. He was always the go to guy to explain the very complex nature of the industry in simple to understand terms. He can relate the need for technology to the business requirements and goals of many type of organizations.

His success in fine art photography is beginning just to grow;
